Description
The 100% cowhide upper is durable and breaks in over time, and the leather lining molds to your foot the more you dance in it. The sole is hand-stitched to the upper, and the steel nails give every step a solid, crisp sound.
The embroidery you see on the heel is called Tenango, a style from the Otomí communities of Tenango de Doria, Hidalgo. Its bright animals, flowers, and birds come from the natural world around the Otomí people.
Dancer to dancer: a 7cm heel takes some getting used to if you're coming from a lower shoe. Ease into it during practice and give your feet time to adjust. Once you're comfortable, this heel will make your footwork look and sound so good, and the leather will only get more comfortable with every rehearsal.
